Alaska should be on everyone's bucket list! Not only will you get to see amazing scenery such as mountains and glaciers, but you will be able to see wildlife here that you may never be able to view again. There is so much to see and do! So many sights and activities in Alaska appeal to travelers of all ages - it makes this a GREAT multi-generational trip for the whole family!
Another thing to note, Princess Cruise Line partners with the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet for many of their exclusive shore excursions and onboard immersion programs, such as those for their youth and teen programs in Camp Discovery. These are excursions and programs you will not be able to experience with any other cruise line.
Take a moment to familiarize yourself with some of the most iconic destinations that you will experience on your journey! We've listed a few of the most popular things to see and do - but there is SO much more - we just couldn't list them all!
Your cruise will begin and end here in this beautiful Pacific Northwest city. Come in a few days early, or stay a few days after your cruise to explore the city and see what it has to offer!
If whale watching is on your bucket list, this is the perfect place to do it! Mendenhall Glacier is another must-see in the Capital of Alaska!
The White-Pass Scenic Railway is a popular attraction in this quaint little gold-rush town. Interested in learning more about sled dogs and how they train for the Iditarod? You can do that here too! (And perhaps meet some of the puppies!)
Enjoy a day of scenic cruising in the beautiful park. Keep an eye out for otters and orcas as the park rangers delight you with some tidbits of information along the way to Margerie Glacier! (Keep your cameras ready!)
If you're a fan of The Deadliest Catch then don't miss your chance to take a ride on the Aleutian Ballad! Once you make it back to land, take a stroll down the historic boardwalk of Creek Street, or catch a lumberjack show!
Your stop here will be brief, and later in the evening, but you can still take a Princess excursion to see some of the city highlights! Butchart Gardens and Craigdarroch Castle are among some of the destination highlights not to be missed here!
Not every cruise line has permits to visit Glacier Bay National Park, but Princess does! Their cruises visiting Glacier Bay National Park - and especially those that are round-trip out of Seattle - sell out every year. Why? Because Glacier Bay National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and people want to see it - but it's easier for most people to fly round-trip to Seattle, versus taking a north- or southbound voyage between Vancouver and Whittier. (And a round-trip plane ticket is usually much more affordable than two one-way tickets.)
You will want to secure your spot - at an amazing rate - for this once-in-a-lifetime voyage right away! The pricing below is what we have secured for double occupancy rooms, but we can definitely book your family into rooms of 3-4 passengers as well!
